Focus on Tradition: Fifteen Years of Regional Folk Arts Documentation is on view from July 1 - September 23, 2007 at the Castellani Art Museum.
A central goal of the Castellani Art Museum's Folk Arts Program is to document traditional artistic expressions that are often unknown outside their communities of origin. While fine-quality photographic documentation forms the basis for many museum exhibitions, it also helps to preserve our region's folk heritage for future generations. "Focus on Tradition" marks the Folk Arts Program's fifteenth anniversary. Works from the museum's permanent collection by Charles Agel, Jim Bush, Marion Faller, Lauren Tent, Denise Woods nd other gifted photographers celebrate the "homegrown" artistic expressions that give the Greater Niagara Region its unique character and vitality.
