For over 40 years, New York State has been burdened with landfilling of commerical toxic (hazardous)waste from 30 states, Puerto Rico and Canada. It's time to say NO MORE!
This group is non-partisan and will work with all parties in Albany to stop the landfilling of the toxic waste. There is a better and safer way to treat the waste and stop the old pratice of landfilling. Landfilling toxic waste is the cheepest but most harmful for our community, especially our children's safety and health. It's bad for the environment due to all landfills leak!
This group will support the best means to stop the use of volitile toxins in our products and promote bio-degradable and bio-friendly means to production so that we don't have mountains of landfills.
New York State must engage and embrace the inovation of 21st century to waste.
Department of Environmental Conservation will be discussing the new "Siting Plan" for commercial toxic landfills in New York State. One community in Western New York has been burdened for far too long. It's time for Albany to acknowledge and give our communtiy environmental justice once and for all and have a plan that will be in line with the 21st century inovation and practices.
Stop the quick fix method, it only will hurt our children's future.
