Revitalizing & Romancing The City - Lecture Series

The recently formed Niagara Falls Historic Preservation Society joined with Partners for a Livable Western New York, the League of Women Voters, the Main Street Business & Professional Association, the Friends of the Library and the Friends of Local History and the Niagara Gazette as series co-sponsors of an exciting new series of speaker-led workshops intended to introduce successful smart growth development approaches that have worked in Western NY and communities across the country. Comprised of nine Wednesday presentations, each seminar will consist of a keynote, followed by a panel discussion and audience participation.

The Main sponsor for the entire series is the Community Preservation Corporation of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Presenter - George R. Grasser - real estate consultant, devloper and president of Partners for a Livable Western New York

April 18th - Vacant and Abandoned Properties - filling in the holes, addressing the problems of abandoned and vacant properties; historic preservation

Presenter: Michael Clarke, Director - Buffalo Office of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation and coordinator of "Blueprint Buffalo".
