Niagara University's department of social work and Niagara Hospice will co-sponsor the Hospice Foundation of America's 15
th annual "Living with Grief" teleconference April 16 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in Dunleavy Hall, Room 127, on the Lewiston campus. The event is free.
The conference, titled "Living with Grief: Children and Adolescents," will be moderated by CNN special correspondent Frank Sesno.
The teleconference will focus on the experience of grieving children and adolescents and the ways that Hospice professionals, teachers and school administrators, grief counselors, funeral directors, and parents can best support these populations as they cope with loss and grief. The program will focus on the most current theories and practices and will combine academic research with hands-on ideas for use in Hospice support groups and other settings.
