Turkey Trotters Learn About Healthy Holiday Habits

Saturday was a day of 'food for thought' for a dozen local seniors and health workers. Participants in the Health Association of Niagara County, Inc.'s Let's Get Physical program took part in a "Healthy Eating During the Holidays" workshop sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the focus was kept on wellness tips such as smart food selections, portion control, baking light - and of course, keeping physically active.

Looking exhilarated from their "Turkey Trot" from the HANCI office on Main Street to Pine Avenue and back (some chose to walk further!), the lovely ladies took a Holiday Health Quiz and discussed their action steps for getting through the holidays.
