The Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University offers an array of educational programs throughout the year, including weekend family art workshops, school tours and our popular summer arts camp. Here is what's happening this spring and summer:
Art Express Family Workshops
Listen to a story, look at artworks in the galleries, and make art! Our theme-based journey begins at2:00 p.m. Cost is just $3 per participant and $2 for museum members.
- February 2, 9, 16, 23: Stories from the exhibition,
Many Winters Ago... with exciting theme-based art projects such as
Painted Horses and
Make a Picture Book!
- March 1, 8, 15, 29: Explore the fantastic world of Surrealism with a selection of works from the museum's collection of modern art. Theme-based activities include
Painting Dreams and
Drawing like Miro!
- April 5, 12, 19, 26: Look at recent selections from the permanent collection as inspiration for a number of exciting art projects.
Guided Tours for Schools and Organizations
Led by specially-trained docents, the CAM offers a variety of exciting school and group tours highlighting works from our permanent collection, the Freedom Crossing: The Underground Railroad in Greater Niagara, and a number of special exhibitions including our upcoming exhibition,
ManyWinters Ago: Native American Children's Book Illustrations.
kids 'n arts Summer Camp
It's hard to imagine with the chill of winter that it's already time to start planning for a sizzling summer!
Our kids'n arts summer camp is back by popular demand. Pre-registration begins in early February.
