Xtreme Wheels Foundation in formation stages needs your help
Xtreme Wheels Indoor Skate Park is establishing Western New York's first action sports not-for-profit foundation, Xtreme Wheels Indoor Skate Park Foundation. The Foundation will serve underprivileged individuals with skateboard equipment, instruction and unlimited session time utilizing the existing Xtreme Wheels Indoor Skate Park. College bound Foundation qualified recipients will also be eligible for scholarship opportunities.
According to Xtreme Wheels co-owner and Executive Director of the Foundation, Virginia Mazgajewski, there is a need for this type of structured organization in the Buffalo area. "Current statistics on poverty in The City of Buffalo are alarming. A collaborative effort between businesses and individuals can make a difference by offering opportunities so our children can live safe, active, healthy lives. With Xtreme Wheels being a pioneer in action sports in Buffalo, it makes good sense to also pioneer a Foundation where we can provide goods and services to those children less fortunate."
Legal fees associated with establishing the 501c3 Foundation is steep. Xtreme Wheels is soliciting donations to help defray costs. All donors' names, unless otherwise specified, will be listed at
www.xtreme-wheels.com and any size donation is welcome. Checks can be made payable to Friends of Xtreme Wheels. Mastercard, Visa, and American Express also accepted.
