What:	The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Leukemia Cup Golf Classic Enjoy breathtaking views on the beautiful links of Orchard Park Country Club on Monday, August 11, 2008 as you support the fight against leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma. Please register your golf foursome to join us for the Leukemia Cup Golf Classic. Various tournament sponsorship levels are available. Two Shotgun tee times are offered at 7:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Golf foursomes will enjoy a barbeque lunch, 18 hole shamble tournament, golf cart, bag service, lockers, use of practice range, refreshments and snacks along the course, and a cocktail party. The cocktail party features raffles, a live auction and a silent auction. 7:30 a.m. foursomes will also enjoy a continental breakfast. Funds raised will be spent locally on blood cancer research and local patient aid & services. Advances made in research from dollars raised in our community have truly made a difference in the lives of local blood cancer patients and their families. Our Chapter funds four researchers who do their work at the University of Rochester and right here in Buffalo at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. There are more than 2000 patients registered with our Chapter who are eligible to receive up to $500 per year in direct financial reimbursment to assist with costs not covered by insurance. Patients can also receive help through educational programs, support groups, and other Patient Services programs. Your support does make a positive impact in our community.
