9:30-10:15 a.m. It Ain't Over 'til it's Over
Yogi Berra, the famous NY Yankee catcher, may have said it best, but what does it
really mean to you when you start to "mature?"We'll look at some of the most exciting
science experiments of all time; what youthful biographies have to tell us, and this
just scratches the surface! If you've ever wondered how biology, sociology, psychology,
anthropology and many other disciplines intersect on human growth and
development, this is the place to start!

10:15-10:30 a.m. Coffee break

10:30-11:15 a.m. How My Brain Works: Tips, Tricks and Memory Strategies
Did you know that left-handed brains are "wired" differently than right-handed brains?
at the two halves of women's brains are better connected than men's?We'll discuss
the myths and the realities of brain science and go over tried and true strategies to
improve your memory. Then we'll go over some secret mental short cuts and finally
some face-saving tips to use when all else fails!

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Lunch (provided)

12:45-1:30 p.m. Don't Worry About Me Getting Old. I Feel Like a Million Bucks
Should I eat no carbs, lots of carbs or just a few carbs? We'll cut through the
commercialized hype of fad diets and show you what the scientific research indicates.
And everyone knows physical activity is important, but how much is needed? Find out how little you can do and still have it count! We think you'll be surprised at how easy
and effortless it is to stay on track with your diet and exercise as we learn about past science experiments and what other cultures from around the world tell us about our own diet and exercise requirements.

1:30-1:45 p.m. Break

1:45-2:30 p.m. Ok, But What Do I Do Now? A Take-Home Recipe Everyone Can Follow
You know the problem with many self-help classes? People all too often drive through the fast-food restaurant of knowledge on the way home! We'll spend some time
summarizing the day's lessons into a recipe you can follow at home, but don't call it
"homework"; let's call it "funwork"! We'll send you home with a packet of materials
to continue stimulating your brain including a litany of suggested readings in all of the areas/topics we covered today so you can continue learning and growing!
