The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce will kick off another season of good food and good friends with the opening of the annual Hamburg Farmers' Market on Saturday, May 3 rd, 2008. The Market will operate each Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through November 1 st, 2008 in the Village of Hamburg Municipal Parking Lot. Entrances to the Market are accessible on both Main and Union Streets and by foot on Buffalo Street.
The Hamburg Farmers Market has been in existence since 1979 and is faithfully attended by shoppers from throughout Western New York. The Market is known for quality, locally grown food including local produce, flowers, plants, homemade baked goods, pizza, pastas, honey, cheese, eggs, meats, pierogies and much more.
"I am really excited about this year's market, particularly because of the many new vendors we have," stated Betty B. Newell, HCC President & CEO. "I'm also pleased that the VBAC will join us twice a month to promote the Summer events and activities featuring our Village businesses. Once again, we'll welcome our friends from Imagine Hamburg who will coordinate the great music program in Peace Park. Also, Paul Kline, the HCC Marketing Director, will co-manage the market and bring in fun and educational family events once a month. So please do plan as always to 'Meet me at the Market!'"
