Mr. David G. Nease, Chairperson of the Department of Fine Arts at St. Francis High School, has announced that the department will present two special programs and be joined by the school's Freshman Class in one of the events in observance of the Christmas season at St. Francis High School in Athol Springs, NY.
The Male Chorus will celebrate Christmas Vespers, a celebration of Christ's birth in song and Scripture, and the Freshman Class will present Greccio, a live Nativity celebration, at 5p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2007. The Greccio presentation will take place in front of Friars' Hall on the school's campus with the Vespers service with Fr. Michael Sajda, OFM Conv., the school's President, presiding at the event in Friars' Hall Chapel.
On Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 7 p.m., all the school's choral and
instrumental groups will join in presenting a Christmas Concert in Alumni Hall
Theatre. Mr. Nease will direct the school's Male Chorus, Chorus Classes,
Advanced Chorus Class and Senior Schola during the program. Mr. Craig Fattey
will conduct the Concert Band and Jazz Messengers and Mrs. Marcia Fattey will
conduct the Percussion Ensemble.
