Bishop Timon - St. Jude High School welcomed its newest members into the Duns Scotus Chapter of the National Honor Society. Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors that may be awarded to a high school student. Membership is based on four ideals that a student must possess for selection in the National Honor Society. Students must excel in academics, leadership, service and character.
James Tilley '59, CEO of Evans National Bank and Vice Chairman of Bishop Timon - St. Jude's Board of Trustees, was the keynote speaker for the induction ceremony. Tilley spoke of the great honor being in the National Honor Society. "As you go through life, always keep the characteristics that earned you this honor. The qualities of a National Honor Society member will be the basis of your life when you leave Timon."
