Just passing along the following message. Your support would be greatly appreciated!
Katie Nolan (of Hamburg) has had a difficult year. Last June her mom, Susan (Coughlin) Nolan was diagnosed with breast cancer. With her mother out of work, 14-year-old Katie shouldered the responsibilities of taking care of her younger brother and sister. Sue underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiation while Katie's father, Jim "Bo", worked throughout the ordeal. Then, on June 1, 2007, Katie sustained a traumatic brain injury in a fluke accident while visiting friends in Atlanta, GA. Multiple surgeries, infection, intensive care and months of physical, occupational and speech rehab have ensued for young Katie. The loss of routine skills for daily living and subsequent rehabilitation has brought unexpected costs to her family. Travel expenses, daily living costs and lost wages while in Atlanta have set the family back. Despite strong family support, the Nolan's have been greatly affected. Please help Katie and the Nolan Family by attending a benefit on:
