The Spotted Internship Program at Buffalo.com

Buffalo.com is always on the lookout for volunteers from the Western New York community to serve as interns for our Spotted project. If you would like to gain valuable experience in the fields of photography, online media and community relations, perhaps you would like to be part of the Spotted Internship project.

What is the Spotted Internship Project?

There are two aspects to our newest web site, Buffalo.com/Spotted:

1.) You Spotted, where users in the community can register for free and post their own photos to online scrapbooks, send messages to other users, create friends lists and more;

2.) We Spotted, where Buffalo.com photographers travel throughout Western New York to capture images from the biggest, most exciting or most interesting events in our region.

Because there are so many interesting events in WNY throughout the course of any given month, week or even day, we need photographers who are willing to travel to these events to take photos for the " We Spotted" section of Buffalo.com/Spotted.

These photographers are called interns, and our interns can be anyone age 17 or older who enjoys photography and has an interest in online media, community relations, or even just socializing with their fellow WNYers.

Spotted internships are unpaid, although interns can utilize media passes whenever such credentials can be arranged.

Spotted interns do not receive "assignments" -- you choose what events you'd like to photograph.

Spotted interns are asked to photograph two events a month for a four-to-six month period.
