Queen of the Quilts

Queen of the Quilts. Niagara County is blessed with a Queen of the Quilts, an international competitive quilter and one heck of a County Auditor. Auditor Ruth Ohol has been sewing for 45 years and doing quilts for 15. She has a bottomless quilt-making bag of tricks She has competed on the international level since 2002. Her quilts have taken prizes twice at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center. Judges have recognized Ruth's precision machine work, as well as her original and striking combinations of fabric and color. Ruth's quilting brilliance shines a light on the detailed excellence she pursues in her work as Auditor to insure Niagara County has "best practice" internal control and accountability to protect the public dollar.
