Graduation. During this last month, Niagara County high school graduates marched across stages in droves to receive their diplomas in front of their proud and happy families and friends. What should Niagara County wish for these young persons - our hope for the future? My nominees are:

To know the secret that Niagara County is strategically located, is resource rich, and, because of these factors, has the opportunity to be successful in the 21 st Century.

To appreciate Niagara County's cultural richness and diversity which create the capacity to attract talent, stimulate creativity, and instill the excitement of living in a 21st Century place of vitality.

To accept the challenge to unify Niagara County society in the 21st Century and make it known we in this County should live by the maxim that we are one for all and all for one without malice, bias, or partisanship toward one another.

To challenge all existing authorities to clean up and green up our Niagara County environment for the sustainability and prosperity of our 21st Century generations.
