Blog Entry 5 of 129 Somewhere Between Here and There
What runs through the mind of a 30 something married man with 5 kids a good job a huge comic book collection, an impressive DVD collection, nearly every movie stub from every movie he's seen since Back to the Future; topped off with a mind filled with endless movie quotes, dabbling in theology, a continuous pursuit of being a professional artist while taking a stab at being a writer? Stay Tuned...

Prime time is a pretty good time

Television is good again. It seemed like, for me anyways, that I had stopped watching a lot of television, i had a couple of shows, but nothing I really looked forward to each week. Thats changed.
Mondays we have Heroes. A great serial series with an amazing story, excellent cliffhangers and really captivating characters. If you missed out on this great new show, I'm sure there's going to be another marathon on sooner or later, and when it is, check it out, its a fantastic show.
Tuesday...well I guess there's American Idol, but I'm a bit tired of that actually, it just seems the same year after year, they need to change it up a bit, add something new to it, lets bring in some physical challenges, make some one eat a cow ear or something...something.
Wednesday...yes more Idol, but if you can stay up until ten, Lost is on. I was a late Lost bloomer. I didnt watch the first or second season when it first aired, but all i heard were good things, so we went and rented season one, WOW. Good stuff. So then we went and rented season two and watched all of those before season three started. We sat and watched 5 episodes in a row one day...we were junkies enjoying our fix of Hurley, Jack, Kate and Sawyer.
Now were to Thursdays, which is back to must see TV. Great Comedies on NBC. The Office, My Name is Earl, 30 Rock and Scrubs are hysterical and get funnier each week. The Office is just one of the funniest shows that have ever been on television. It will be considered one of the greats like Lucy, or Mash and Moonlighting, now we have The Office.
Friday, a fantastic show, just as funny and maybe at times funnier than The Office is a quite little show on USA, Pysch. Its fantastic, unfortunately the seasons are very short, so now we're back into reruns.
And now I'll admit something, that i'm not ashamed to say, I also watch professional wrestling. I like the WWE. I look forward to Monday Night Raw, ECW on Tuesdays and Smackdown on Fridays. My kids love, I love it, its good family fun.
So TV is fun again for me, I'm enjoying it. I know there are people out there who think..oh I dont watch TV, blah blah blah. Its the cultural medium of the world in this time. I probably shouldn't worry too much however, most of the time the people who dont watch TV, dont know what a Blog is either, so they'll never see this.

How can you not mention Ugly Betty?! It's often funnier than NBC on Thursday nights!

God forgive me, but I am currently hooked on "Reba." It feels good to come clean.
