Life in Lancaster Lately

Technically I live in Depew, but just across the street is Lancaster, kids go to Lancaster schools, yadda yadda yadda, life in Lancaster.

A friend of mine moved to Cleveland and was wondering what was going on here back home. So, whats going on new in the area? Everyone should know this Mobil gas stations seem to charge more than any other gas station, so if you can, avoid Mobil, and if you can make it to Walden Ave go to Delta Sonic, it was only $4.08 this morning, not to bad considering a block or so away it was $4.21.

It was terribly warm this weekend, all hot and muggy, and just two weeks ago or so we were wearing jackets to keep warm. It is 9:42am and its 82 degrees here, in Cleveland its 88, and in Orlando its 83. Thats weather, now onto Sports..

In sports this weekend, um well I really dont watch sports so the closest I can come to is we were at EB Games yesterday and were checking out some video games for the PS2, Dyllan wanted a hockey game, if he got NHL 07 it was 14.99, 06 - $5.99, 03 - .99 cents. Got to love sports games and the way the nerds are sticking it to the jocks. They're waiting in line overnite to pay $60 for a game that will be worth $10 in one year. Nice.

Local news we had the Memorial Day Parade on the 26th where my son Dyllan marched in, he plays Bass Drum for the High School and it was a beautiful day. We ended up heading downtown and walking along the new section of the waterfront, if you haven't checked it out, do so they did a great job.

This week is going to be a crazy week, its the last week of High School for Kort and Dyl for the year, we have our final band and chorus concerts to attend, a Kindergarten Graduation, a couple of field days, a dance recital,and a Prom, while trying to also celebrate Father's Day and possibly go to the Allentown Art Festival, other wise ho hum at the Kindelan house.

Once this week of school is done and I dont have to drop them off in the morning any longer, I'm going green, or rather trying to save money on gas by taking the bus into work. This should be interesting and make for some good blogs.

So to all of those outside of Buffalo thats whats going on in Lancaster with the tighter proximity of the Kindelan household.

We are big concert goers. Thursday in the square Edgefest Artpark Club Infinity Friendship Festival All of them... Check back in my blog or Kortneys for the events we hit this year

John, Mobil does have higher gas prices. Way higher. Be sure to go to lancasterdepewfcu.org and click on the gas can icon where you'll get a list of the highest to lowest gas prices being charged in the Lancaster Depew area. John, are you or any of the fam planning on going to any concerts this year? How about the Square or Artpark? I'd like to hear your thoughts on the local music scene.

John, This was a great update! It is so nice to hear about what is happening in Western New York and to get an update on your family. Just so you know, gas cost $3.86 in Cleveland. New York state taxes are unreal! I would also like to point out to Tom Waters that John is a good friend of mine and we have always joked about his love for comic books. While I am not a big fan of them myself, I do have a lot of repsect for your talent as an artist. I guess some people just don't have a sense of humor. By the way, I can't wait to hear about your mass transit stories. I have a friend who works at Roswell and lives in Clarence. He started taking the bus a couple of years ago to get into work. Overall I think it has been a pretty good experience for him. I would reccomend getting a good pair of headphones for your ipod.
