I'm on Vacation! Day 1. but still blogging

Finally a vacation. One week of no work. Yes I'm peeking at my remote email, and making mental notes of things, or sending myself reminders but other wise I'm on vacation. Forget the fact that my boss called me on Monday, my first day off to ask me a question, but at least he waited until 10am.

So what are we doing this year? Well I'm not putting on a roof, thats for sure! We are also not driving to different destinations all week. Last year we went to the Renaisannce festival, The Corning Glass Museum, and The Toronto Zoo, not to mention the Drive In, and other home events. This year, staying a little closer to home.

Monday we did...wait for it...NOTHING. And it was goooood. So good. We had some fun at home, and its kinda funny, here's whats funny, last year when we did the roof we had a whole lot of plastic to catch roof debris. We still have two giant rolls in the garage, so i pull out one of the rolls and run it the length of our backyard and hook up the sprinkler right next to it. I go in the house and tell everyone to come out and when they do I run across the back yard and skid all the way down the long sheet of plastic. Everyone eventually tried it and we had a blas on our home made slip and slide. I did forget that I'm in my 30s and was reminded later on Monday night by a sore bottom and pulled hamstrings. But other wise it was great.

Today we went all the way to...Downtown Buffalo! woo hoo! Real stretch huh. So we go downtown and head over to City Hall. We go on the tour they conduct, which I had never done before and I'm introduced to some amazing architecture and absolutely beautiful art work. We got up to the observation tower and looked and the muggy city from 25 stories up, it was extremely cool, all the kids loved it.

We came back home, the teenagers went to a friends house to watch a movie, and me my lovely wife and the little kids stayed home and watched the new Batman animated movie that came out today.
