Creepy Crafts and Spider Cupcakes!

Today was a day of activity at Reinstein Woods. In addition to a girl scout troop working on our trails and a teacher workshop in our meeting room, we also held our first Creepy Crafts program in our classroom. 15 crafty costume-clad kids had a great time making spider hats and bracelets, bat finger puppets, and halloween foliage trees - culminating with the creation of their very own Spider Cupcake. The cupcakes were immediately consumed upon creation, but that was not surprising! In addition to the creepy creations, participants learned a little about spiders and bats - we're always making connections. You can tell by the photos that a good time was had by all!

If you are reading this and wondering "how can I participate in a craft program at Reinstein Woods?" Well, you are in luck! Our Recycled Crafts program takes place Saturday, December 1st. Advance registration is required, so give us a call at 683-5959 to sign up!
