Rain or shine - it's always a good time!

Despite the rainy weather, over 1,200 people attended the seventh annual Fall Fesitval at Reinstein Woods on Saturday, September 15th. Yes, it's taken us two weeks to let you know how it went, but the fun never ends here at Reinstein Woods! We've begun our Fall school field trip season too which is keeping us very busy!

Visitors to the Woods were able to participate numerous new activities including a track bandana craft, hydrogen fuel cell model car demonstrations, and a rainstick craft. The rainsticks were so popular, we ran out of materials. Maybe they were too effective - since it rained quite a bit that day!

Inside the education center, Owl Facts had live owls and information to share, the Buffalo Zoo also had live critters too! Information about New York/America Recycle's Day on November 15, 2007 was also available. A new "toddler zone" was also available for families with small children.

We could go on and on about all the fun things that happened! If you missed it, mark your calendars for next year - Fall Festival 2008 will be on Saturday, September 20th.
