Throughout the Month of May, the Buffalo City Mission is paying tribute to inspirational women through its "Honor The Remarkable Woman In Your Life" fundraiser.
By making a gift of $20 or more in honor of a special woman, contributors can provide life-changing recovery, shelter, and food to the many women and children served at Buffalo City Mission's Women and Children's Shelter, Cornerstone Manor.
"It takes remarkable strength and effort to turn a broken life around. Every day women come to Cornerstone looking to begin that journey. By honoring a special woman, people can provide hope and resources to another remarkable woman," said Dr. Lora Warkentin, director of Cornerstone Manor, Buffalo City Mission.
Once a donation is made, the honoree will receive an acknowledgement of the gift and the Mission will honor her on a special online billboard. People may make multiple donations.
"Giving isn't just limited to mom. That's what makes this fundraiser so special. Individuals can celebrate a teacher, co-worker, grandmother, or friend who has been there during a time of need," said Aubrey Calhoun, director of community relations, Buffalo City Mission. Our goal is to fill up our billboard with as many strong, successful, and courageous women as possible."
