Buffalo Public School student work exhibited at CEPA Gallery was created within an Architecture in Education project through a special partnership between architects, teachers, and students. In the midst of a period that sees many schools in the District being redesigned and rebuilt through the Joint Schools Construction this project presented a learning opportunity for the students.
Featuring work created by Buffalo students at
BAVPA, Hutchinson Technical High School, Discovery School, and Waterfront Elementary this project is collaboration between the Buffalo Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the BPS.
The 8th Grade BAVPA student work was inspired by learning about the works of Antonio Gaudi who was well known for his biomorphic shapes. The "Hanging Pod Community" created by these students really stood apart and were very creative and unique.
