Buffalo law firm Paul William Beltz PC will present a pair of special events - the Kevin Everett Golf Classic and the 12th Man Tailgate Party - on July 6-7 at Brierwood Country Club in Hamburg. Kevin Everett was on hand to talk about the events today at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Buffalo, N.Y.
NFL stars Jerome "The Bus" Bettis and Rocket Ismail will be among the current and former players coming to Buffalo for the events. Proceeds from both events will benefit the newly-formed Kevin Everett Foundation, which will fund research and assist those with spinal cord injuries.
"These events are a great way to get my Foundation off the ground," said Everett. "It's important that we continue to make strides to treat spinal cord injuries more effectively, and the success of these events will help us do that. I want to personally thank the many sponsors, especially Paul William Beltz PC, for their title sponsorship."
"For 40 years now, Paul William Beltz PC has been a successful firm here in Buffalo," said Paul William Beltz, principal, Paul William Beltz PC. "Each of us at the firm is a proud Western New Yorker. We also take great pride in our Buffalo Bills. Kevin's recovery has been nothing short of miraculous, and we are proud to be teaming with Kevin for such a worthwhile cause. We're confident that these events will raise a great deal of awareness and funding for spinal cord injury and research assistance."
The weekend will begin with the 12th Man Tailgate Party on Sunday, July 6, from 4-8 p.m. Several of Everett's friends and teammates are scheduled to appear. The event is limited to 1,200 attendees. Tickets are $40 per person for the 21 and over event, or $125 for a four ticket Fan Pack. Tickets for the 12th Man Tailgate Party are available at all Ticketmaster outlets and at Ticketmaster.com.
Admission also includes an outdoor barbeque, beverages and entertainment including a live DJ and a performance by "Magician of the NFL" Jon Dorenbos (former Bills long-snapper), plus silent and Chinese auctions. Tickets for the 12th Man Tailgate Party are available at all Ticketmaster outlets and at www.ticketmaster.com Approximately 700 tickets remain.
The first Kevin Everett Golf Classic will take place on Monday, July 7, beginning at 11 a.m. All foursomes include lunch, golf, an open bar cocktail hour, dinner, golfer gift bag, special commemorative gifts from Kevin, and a chance to golf with one of Kevin's special celebrity guests. Foursomes are available for $2,500. A limited number of sponsorships and foursomes are still available.
"I would like to acknowledge the outstanding support we have already received from local companies, starting, of course, with the Paul William Beltz PC law firm," stated Bruce Weinstein, president & CEO, Showcase Sports Marketing. "Without their support, these events wouldn't be possible. Much work is still left to be done, and we invite other companies and individuals to join us for the fun."
