The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at Buffalo State College will be offering two intensive four-week summer programs July 7-31 for children ages 6 to 16.

The Language-Literacy clinic is designed for children ages 6 to 12 who have difficulty using speech sounds and understanding or using language.Language skills, in particular phonological awareness, vocabulary and writing are the foundation for academic success. The program will provide small group instruction in sound awareness, vocabulary development, reading fluency and writing and spelling skills. Children will be matched for age and skill level.

The Summer Fluency clinic is designed for children ages 6 to 16 who stutter.Stuttering impacts over three million Americans--approximately one percent of the population.This program will focus on developing positive attitudes toward stuttering and increasing fluent speech.
