Booking through a Travel Agent -vs- Online

Before you book your next trip online, consider consulting with a professional Travel Agent first...the cost may surprise you...

Recently, I was asked what the benefits were in working with a Travel Agent. Like the majority of agents, I offer my services at NO COST and I work on YOUR behalf. Why wouldn't you utilize the skills, resources, experience and knowledge when it is offered to you for free? These days I hear lots of people talking about how they booked their trip online. How do you know that you have received the best price available with so many travel websites to choose from? And when I say many...there are hundreds of them! Travel Agents have resources at their fingertips that the general public does not have access to. These resources include travel websites that search for the best prices out there, ultimately saving you, the consumer, time, money and frustration. When Orbitz, Travelocity and Expedia all hit the online market years ago, they boasted the best prices in town. Not the case today. We are all on level playing field, and Travel Agents can usually find the same deals or better.

Okay...let's say you decide to book online. What happens if you have problems or questions, who do you have as support? Trust me, Mr. Expedia is not going to come to your rescue.

The next time you are considering booking online, take a few minutes to pick up the phone and call me. You have probably already spent hours on end researching the trip online, so what's a few extra minutes of your time to ensure you have received the best price possible? Should you still decide to"click and confirm" remember, without a Travel Agent, your'e on your own.
