Go Fly a Kite !
The kite is a four thousand year old artistic medium that has served as a form of transportation, as a scientific tool, and as a toy. These uses and various kite materials are presented by artist Meg Albers, as she leads participants to create their own kite.
The class is targeted for 3
rd - 6
th graders, but can be enjoyed by all ages. Two sessions are scheduled at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum on Thursday, July 12, at 12:00 Noon and 1:00 PM. A class fee of $8 includes admission to the museum and a ride on the 1916 antique wooden carousel. Class numbers are limited, so pre-registration is requested to ensure a place.
