Story


Lasers burn though softball....

This July 7th weekend the Lou Gehrig Lasers attended the Ontario TeddyBear girls fast pitch 12U softball tournament and came in1st place. This was their first international tournament. Head coach Tim Cutler and assistant coach Ed Thomas led the girls to a victory against the Canadian team Waterloo in the Championship game. Lizzy Viola and Sarah McMahon both drove in home runs which reinforced the momentum through the game.
The hitting was strong. It was not uncommon to see triples and doubles every inning. The final score of the game was 12 - 2. The entire team was awarded a metal for first place. Players included Mackenzie Cutler, Katherine Farrell, Allyson Thomas, Brooke Atkins, Lizzy Viola, Megan Cirbus, Sarah McMahon, Lindsey Kenyon, Lexi Kurbiel, Dana Larkin.
