NEWSTEAD DEMS ENDORSE BABY JOE

At a special meeting on Wednesday, May 14th, the Newstead Democratic Committee voted to endorse Baby Joe Mesi for NYS Senate in the 61st District.

Being new to the political arena, Joe actively solicited the support of the committee and came to Akron to meet with them a week ago. Many on the committee felt that his enthusiasm is just what is needed right now.

Committeeman, Michael Schilling commented that he felt there were many things Baby Joe could do after his boxing career but it's clear he cares a lot about the community. Schilling felt Baby Joe's name recognition was just the beginning of what would help bring attention to our area. "I was present when he announced in Williamsville and Batavia and got a firsthand view of how people respond to him. He's electrifying" said Schilling, "and has convinced me he'sready to work for us."
