Councilman Scott Bylewski to Run for Supervisor
Contributed by: Scott Bylewski on 4/2/2007

One of the greatest honors of my life is the support and encouragement of residents throughout my almost six years as Clarence Town Councilman and, more recently, as Deputy Supervisor. It is with the overwhelming encouragement and endorsement of Supervisor Kathleen Hallock that I ask for your support as I run for Town Supervisor.

I want to be your Town Supervisor because I am dedicated to serving the community that I love. I offer leadership, experience, and good government practices. My goals for the Town are to maintain its character and charm while making it affordable for our seniors, our children, and ourselves. I support required services and will keep the Town's spending in check through multi-year budgeting. Clarence will continue to be the "Town of Choice " because it will establish a first-class Youth Bureau, maintain significant historic places, and promote citizens interests, including controlled well-planned residential growth and promoting business development.

As Councilman, I have not only listened but respected the opinions of Town residents. My job is to protect the interests of the Town. I will continue with that tradition of fairness if elected Town Supervisor.

The Supervisor has a tough job. I have the ability to make the tough decisions that a Supervisor must make.

This year's Supervisor race should not be about party politics. I will continue to work with all residents regardless of political affiliation, because that is what is best for the Town of Clarence . I will continue the good work started by Supervisor Hallock. I humbly ask for your support of my candidacy.

As always, I look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail.

Scott A. Bylewski
Clarence Town Councilman
Deputy Supervisor

Scott Bylewski makes more sense these days, than some of our political leaders in Albany & Wash DC. The endoresemet of Scott by Kathy Hallock for the Supervisor’s job speaks volumes about Scott’s ability to get the job done, to being able to work with both sides of the aisle and to put the real interests of the Town of Clarence as his primary goal. Respected for his outstanding work ethic in coming totally prepared for just about every meeting in which he participates, Scott displays for all those who want to see, the necesssary action to be taken based upon facts, not emotions. For those who admire this type of politician, this is a golden opportunity to support a true leader. Talk is great, words can mean a lot, but taking action to help Scott in this election will really make a contribution not only to his candidacy, but to the general health of the Town of Clarence. I voted for Scott Bylewski when he first ran for Town Council because I hoped for someone who would bring new ideas and vision to the Town. Since first elected, Scott has worked hard to achieve his goals for the Town of Clarence, sometimes against great adversity. He is active in the community and takes his various roles and responsibilities as a Town official seriously. He has proven to be honest and dedicated, which are qualities that lead me to vote for him again when he sought re-election to the Board. He strives to understand the issues and opportunities that face our community and acts in a manner that is in the best interest of the Town and its residents, not himself. Without hesitation, I would vote for Scott Bylewski for Supervisor. He has demonstrated that he has the knowledge, experience and integrity required to hold this office. We must work hard to preserve the quality of life in Clarence and we need someone like Scott to help achieve this goal. Wendy Weber Salvati
