How to be free of Domestic Violence Part 1

Lester Robinson of the Northwoods Agency and his guest will be Robyn Wiktorski-Reynolds ,LMSW of Crisis Services and she will talk on October being Domestic Violence prevention month. The theme of the TV show will understand the signs of Domestic Violence. Robyn will review key signs of Domestic Violence in this part of the TV show. The signs range from isolation to sexual abuses. Robyn will review how her agency helps stop Domestic Violence around Western New York with education and special programs. She will also explain why these signs are not easy to recognize. She will explain how the abuser controls the victim's life. Why the abuser uses guilt in controlling their victim. Robyn will explain why the abuser makes the victim feel not worthy and degrade them. Robyn will also explain why the victims stay in the relationship and do not leave the abuses. Robyn explains what happens to the children of Domestic Violence parents. Robyn shows how the abuser uses the victim family is to the advantage of the abuser and creates a world of isolation for the victim. The book Domestic Violence "Finding Safety & Support" is a guide for victims and friends of Domestic Victims, this book was used in both parts of the TV series, and was a very useful resource in making these TV shows.

Robyn explains the purpose of the PURPLE BOW. The purple bow is in supporting the end of Domestic Violence. In the month of October if you would wear a purple bow, this will do three things. The three reasons are to show support and understanding for victims of Domestic Violence. The second this is to make the public aware that Domestic Violence is a major problem in relationships today. The third item is to show the abuser who live out in the public, that people are supportive of putting an end to Domestic Violence.

Robyn Wiktorski-Reynolds will review how to be free of Domestic Violence. The ABC's of Insurance presents the "Domestic Violence Series" is hosted by Les Robinson and airs Thursday October 9 at 10:00 am & 6:30pm and Friday Oct 10 at 2:00pm, Tuesday October 7, at 8:30 pm, Wednesday October 8, at 5:00 am on Niagara County's LCTV Channel 20. The series also airs Wednesday October 8, at 10:35pm on Erie County's Time Warner Channel 20.
