UB Recognizes Health Career Courses Offered to High Schools

Williamsville, NY (October 7, 2008) - The University of Buffalo's health professions program facilitated a group of visiting college students and professors from Brazil with a tour of American medical science facilities. On the itinerary: Erie 1 BOCES high school programs. The group of 12 visitors from Brazil visited the Harkness Career & Technical Center in Cheektowaga and then called on a BOCES class at Kaleida's Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Williamsville. Erie 1 BOCES Connections class is an advanced health careers exploratory program for area high school seniors based at the hospital. Mr. Lane then provided the Brazilian students, seen here in the background, with a tour of the hospital.
