The advice you can get from friends is as valuable as that from any book or talk show host. This is from my friend Tara H who always has a way to inspire and motivate me while keeping me relaxed and grounded and this advice is great for whatever career you find yourself wanting to go into....Enjoy!

"The best advice I can give you as someone who came to LA like a babe in the woods from Spokane, Washington and left a jaded, wisened old LA Lady who had seen and done it all is this:

Don't overthink it and don't forget to have fun every single second you are there. Don't let anything bother you and keep your eye on what you want. Don't make it harder than it is; there is NO qualification for the job you want, yet somehow you are overqualified. Don't feel like what you want is far away, just enjoy it coming to you. Just go show it off all of your beauty and talent and GUSTO and eccentricness to the world and one of these days - this week, next week, maybe next month, but certainly SOON - they will get it. "
