5 Days to Go!


Only 5 more days until the Buffalo News Career Fest at the Millennium Hotel in Cheektowaga.

Today at last count we have 35 businesses signed up to participate at the event. Our service for setting up the room has been contacted and an updated list of the participants is going to our online group.

The businesses participating will usually bring some sort of information or promotional items with company logos to hand out to the visitors. You'll see the booths with the most interesting hand outs usually getting the most visitors. So if your participating, bring something unique and you'll be sure to have a line at your booth.


For those job seekers

Career Fest Tip #2

Bring a Pen. While some places will be handing out pens, you dont want to have to count on that, or have to grab a free pen from someone that doesnt work. The company is embarassed that their free pen didn't work and it didn't look like your a 'plan ahead' type of person. Bring a pen and day timer or some sort of folder to jot down information or notes, and you'll be ahead of the game.
