A LEADER IS A LIFTER

A leader is a lifter.
Boldly lifting others to heights
where no man or woman
has gone before.

A leader is a sifter.
Boldly sifting through the
ashes of burned out dreams
to light a new fire of passion
to ignite a new round of dreams.

A leader is a shifter.
Boldly shifting the course
when contrary winds blow
to chart new directions
to new horizons that
make all things new.

A leader is a drifter.
Boldly drifting in uncharted waters,
alone in stormy seas.
A leader follows the vision
that she alone sees.

A leader is a gifter.
Boldly giving gifts
of wisdom and time
to help others discover their gifts
on the mountains they climb.

A leader is an exister.
Boldly existing in circumstances
that cause others to flee.
They find peace in any circumstance
to be truly free.

A leader lives with no fear
because they know that
perfect love casts out fear.
